If you are in the "summer sewing slump" then this is the perfect opportunity for you to get motivated!
Most of you already know the drill.. but for any newbies out there.. here is how it works.
1. Enter your blog info below. **If you don't have a blog - you can enter the Flickr group link as your URL.
2. Make a post on your blog - letting all your readers know about the sew-in. Spread the word.. we could all use the virtual sewing support and encouragement.
3. On Friday – 08/20/10 - Get your house settled, put on your comfy jammies.. maybe make a cup of tea.. and sit down to work on some of those projects (or anything else that you want to work on.. maybe you want to knit.. or catch up on scrapbooking).
4. Then, sometime on Saturday - Make a post about what you worked on.. show us a picture or two on Flickr.
And finally - on Sunday 8/22, we will enter all participants into a GIVEAWAY for something fun! (Including our new FNSI Pin Cushion) Bobbi and I both pick winners - so you each will have 2 chances to win!!
What are you waiting for... SIGN UP.. then tell ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!!

No Summer slump here as it's Winter but it's still a slump. Haven't even finished off item from the last Friday Night Sew In!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the fun to begin, even managed a night off work this time so I can sew along with everyone else. Should be perfect sewing weather around here- we're mid winter.

ReplyDeleteooo I want to participate so badly but it always seems to be on a night when something is going on that I just CANNOT get out of. My brother is moving into our house that day. Doubt I will get much done that evening other than catching up with him. Good luck to all who participate though. Can't wait to see pictures.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet daughter just went back to college so I need some good "take my mind off of it" sewing!!

ReplyDeleteSo excited! The 20th is my last day at my job (I start a new one 23rd) but I can't think of a better way to celebrate! Thanks for organizing :)
ReplyDeleteI'm warming up the sewing machine now.
ReplyDeleteI've been busy working outside so by Friday Night I will be more than ready to get some sewing done.
ReplyDeleteI just had to sign up - even though I won't actually be home on the 20th to actually sew that day or evening (going on a bus trip) - but I'll do my sewing on Saturday, and post that evening, then I get to catch up with everybody else on Sunday - happy, happy sew-in!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to next friday night.
