I made this little Hippo last night. It was fun to make. I'm heading to a baby shower today and he's going in the gift bag.
I also worked on a some quilt piecing - more on that soon.
I am slowly working my way through your blogs.. it will probably take me a few days. We had a LOT of participants last night.. think of the yardage we used?! Pin It

CUTE Hippo.
Last night's sew in used up 1 pkg Moda turnovers, 1.5 meters mottled fabric, 1 meter border fabric and about 2.5 meters backing fabric. Not only that, the backing and the batting (pre-quilted fabric) (ugly!) is from a stash-busting sale so it cost me next to nothing. Cost for twin size quilt - $26.00 SCORE!
Love the Hippo, I hope to get back on track with the Sew-In next month, things have been just a little crazy getting ready for winter!
Lucky baby to be receiving such a cheeky looking hippo. Sounds like your creative genius was in full flight Heidi.
I'm trying to decide how to decide how many blogs I can have a peek at this month- that list was HUGE!
You certainly achieved more than I did for my 4 hours. If you want a laugh jump over to my blog for a peek
Really cute Hippo - hope you enjoyed the baby shower x
How cute!!
Aww that hippo is so cute! Thanks for hosting the FNSI. I worked all day yesterday and was motivated to finish one of my UFO's b/c of it. Normally I probably would've just vegged out and pretended my UFOs didn't exist, lol.
Cute hippo! Ya done good.
He is so cute. Softies are such fun.
Finally got my post up. The hippo is too cute. Thanks for sharing and for sponsoring this fun time each month.
Cute hippo! I messed up my days so I did my FNSI last night (Saturday here) but haven't taken a photo yet so you can skip visiting me and I'll be more organised next time :(.
