Fabric Dreams.. Spring is around the corner!

On our way home today from some shopping over in Wisconsin - we stopped to check the mail. I felt like Steve Martin in that scene from that movie The Jerk - "The new phonebooks here.. the new phonebooks here".. except I was saying "The new catalog is here.. the new catalog is here".

The scene in our car went something like this..
"Dad, is Mom ok?"
"Son, she's never been quite right."

Do you get the Hancocks of Paducah catalog? Each time it arrives, I page though over and over.. falling in love with fabric. I love being able to see the new lines all on one page. It's 167 pages of pure prettiness.

If you aren't on their mailing list.. click here to sign up!

On my first pass through the catalog - this new line for Michael Miller jumped out at me. It's called "Gypsy Bandana" by Pillow & Maxfield. I want to make a quilt using the "Gypsy Rose" colorway from this line!

I also learned on page 146 that they are now offering Dr Seuss Flannel Prints. It would be so cute to make some PJ Boxers for my boys using this flannel!

I also received the new Connecting Threads catalog. Do you receive this one? I have no clue how I ended up on their mailing list.. but I'm glad I did.

I love this catalog too - so many cute kits and patterns. And their prices are so reasonable!

So today with the COLD temps we are experiencing up here where I live, I think I'll be curling up on the couch after dinner and dreaming of spring fabrics.

How about you? Tell me about some of the Fabric lines you are excited about this year! Pin It

I have no idea when it came out, but I am in love with Riley Blake's Hooty Hoot line for my new, sweet baby boy! It is so cute and owly!

Well, I can't get excited about new fabric lines. I have too many swap block sets and a huge stash that I need to stay in love with. But I did get the Connecting Threads catalog and bought some charm packs from the samplers towards the back of catalog. If you see something you cannot live without you need to grab it, they sell out kinda fast.

Love getting new catalogs from Connecting Threads, Hancocks of Paducah, and Keepsake Quilting, and the new Mark Lapinski magazine. I drool and daydream. My current favorite fabric is Moda's "Sunkissed" and when I recover from Christmas, I'll be heading to the LQS!

Thank you, thank you, I'm all signed up now :) Not sure what difference the new US postal rates will make to ordering fabric to UK but will enjoy the catalogue anyway.

Love the Hancock's of Paducah catolog. The only thing better is going there to pet the fabrics. :-D

I just ordered a jelly roll of Sunkissed by Sweetwater for Moda. Can't wait until I can play!
I also love Charleviox by Moda.

Hi Heidi!
I've been working on a postage stamp quilt and would love to link over to your great tutorial if that is okay with you. Please let me know!
Thanks so much.

I took my Hancocks in for a long soak in the tub last night. It is like the old "Calgon take me away" bath. I love both of those catalogs.

Ditto on the Gypsy Bandana line. It's so happy looking. I also love the sweet Lily and Will fabric line for babies.

I LOVE connecting threads...and they have all their holiday/winter themed material for less than $3 a yard right now...I stocked up to make a tree skirt for our tree when I clear some unfinished projects from my list!

The fabric is very good quality and awesome prices...another cute line was the cheep talk...with little birds.
