The creator of this new quilting tool owns a quilt store across the bay in Superior WI. I took a little drive to her Quilt Store the other day. She was so nice and the store was adorable. She gave us a demo of the Lil Twister and I couldn't wait to get home and play with it.
You basically take 5 inch squares - sew them together, add a border.. and then pull out the Lil' Twister and start cutting. Once you start sewing them back together - they look like this.
You can also use the full size Twister with 10inch squares and make larger pinwheels. I'm going to play with the larger Twister next.. I have a Layer Cake of Verna that's been talking to me.
What a great way to use some of your scraps too! You could cut 5 inch squares and start Twisting!

So is that what it is called. Little Twister.....??? I will look for one here if that is the case.
Love the colors you are using. It looks like fun. I saw it demonstrated and ordered the template, but haven't started mine yet.
Ooooh, I wonder if they sell them here in Australia. Can't wait to try it. I just love Verna, it should look great.
Wow, i also wonder if I can get them in Australia, I will have a google and see if I can find them.
I love the pattern. I guess I would need to see a demo to know how the cutting and resewing is done.
That is so cool. I love it. Are those out in stores other than hers yet? Perfect for those pre cuts!
I love this quilt pattern and have made it several times with a homemade template just like that (you can put glow line tape on a 4.5" ruler to match the angles you want). It's a really fun pattern and you can cut them smaller and smaller with the leftovers to make mini-twisters! Have fun!
I love this.. another gadget to play with.. I will have to try this out! Thanks for sharing
WOW!! just love it I also am going to see if I can purchase the template in Australia.
I love this pattern too! We call it Flic-flac in Germany and my friend made a real beautiful b/w-quilt from it. I already have it on my To-Do-List since quite a while.
I will have to try that tool.

Now that looks interesting!
I really like this. That is so neat. 5 inch squares makes me think of Granny. She actually used 4 inch for a long time and then my dad made her realize that it would be easier on her. Wonder what she would think of this little tool? I am gonna check that out.
