Have you seen them? Heard of them?
My Mom requested these for her and one of my aunts.
They are for cooking potato's in the microwave. They are also good for corn on the cob and sweetpotatos. Yummm!! Apparently the potatos turn out just like they were oven baked.
They now make special batting just for these bags. It's called Warm Tator and it's free of resins and glues.
I haven't tried one yet.. but I've heard they work great! Have you tried one?

A co-worker of my husband's had me make about 30 of these before Christmas one year because she loved one she'd gotten so much she had to give one to EVERYONE she knew. I knew some crafters who used polyester batting, which I would NEVER do. I used Warm and Natural--it's good to know there's a batting that's even better in case she requests more of them!!
They really aren't quite the same as oven-baked; you don't get that crispy skint that I think is best!
What's on the inside besides batting? Is it lined with self fabric?
If you do make these, let me know how the pototo turns out. Honestly, I can't imagine a potato from the microwave not having that weird texture.
I heard about them on Tonya's blog, so you need a special batting....thanks for the info.
I have one and I just love it. The potatoes turn out great especially sweet potatoes and of course I've done corn in mine too.
What a wonderful idea...wonder if that batting is available here in Oz - where do you get it 'over there' ?
I have never seen these before. Do you have a pattern or is it something you made up?? Where did you get the batting for them? I wouldn't mind giving this a go. Maybe for my MIL for Christmas.
Got mine as a guft from a non quilter made by another non quilter so I wonder what the batting is!!!!!!! It does make a nice baked potato though. I too would like a crispy skin better though.
Hi from Sue in South Australia, I just wondered if you could please tell me what the Sew Along on Friday thingy is please? I clicked on it, but nothing happened.
It sounds like fun, whatever it is! Hugs n Blessings from Sue of country-blossoms.blogspot.com
How amazing.
I have never heard of these. That is the neatest thing ever!
