Friday Night Sew-In for March.. and a Giveaway!

Bobbi and I are hosting the Friday Night Sew-In for March and a Giveaway!!

Joining the Friday Night Sew-in is a way of setting some time aside to work on those projects on your to do list. And remember - it doesn't have to be a sewing project.. maybe you have a knitting project.. or some scrapbooking.. it could be anything.

So join Bobbi and I, Friday March 19th, for our monthly Sew-In.

Here are the "rules".

1. Enter your blog info below. (If you don't have a blog, you can enter the link for the Friday Night Sew-in Flickr group)

2. Tell all your friends.. make a post on your blog - letting all your readers know about the sew-in. Spread the word.. we could all use the virtual sewing support and encouragement.

3. On Friday – 03/19/10 - Get your house settled, put on your comfy jammies.. maybe make a cup of tea.. and sit down to work on some of those projects (or anything else that you want to work on).

4. Then, sometime on Saturday - Make a post about what you worked on.. show us a picture or two. Post pictures on the Flickr group page if you would like.

5. Optional.. grab the "Friday Night Sew-In" Button on the right for your own blog!

And finally - on Sunday 3/21, we will enter all participants into a GIVEAWAY for something fun! Maybe some fabric.. or a sewing gadget or two.

I am starting a new job (after being off for more than 6 months) the week of the sew-in so that might be the first night of the week I will have the energy to sew. Thanks for the motivation.

I keep reading about all the fun you've all been having and keep thinking I should join! So this is it DH is out, the kids can entertain themselves for one evening and I'm going to shut myself in and sew! Ah bliss...

This sounds like so much fun. I have a baby quilt top that needs to be finished. Setting a time and place will help. Only complication will be if my grandson cooperates with decent bedtime. I used to attend quilt retreats at a nearby bible camp once a year and finished many projects.

Lyn said...

I am going to sit down and work on a monogram for a wedding quilt I need to finish.

Looking forward to finishing my quilt project!

Oh good! Glad it's time for the Friday Night Sew In again! (I need somebody to give me a good kick in the pants to finish up some UFO'S!! .....maybe the next Sew In should be a "LOCK DOWN Sew In" complete with armed SWAT Team standing guard for us procrastinators!! :)

Donna @ Mudpies & Memories said...

I'm so glad for this! My hubby works tonight, so as soon as the kids go to bed, I'm heading to my sewing machine. I have baby gifts galore to get done in the next week. Thanks for the motivation!

Am SOOOOOOOO glad Fri night is here! I've been looking forward to this. Did try to install the button on my blog - but so far it hasn't worked! And I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong! Will be working on odds and ends of different projects - and hopefully finishing some WIPs!
