New Years Giveaway!

We have a WINNER!! Thanks to Random.org which selected #45 - Sunny from http://sunny-quiltingdreams.blogspot.com/ is our lucky winner of the pattern this month.

Send me your info Sunny and I will get this in the mail to you! Congrats!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you are as optimistic as I am about the year to come. My husband and I agree that 2011 is going to be a good year for us! After the stress of moving across country in 2010 - we are both looking forward to settleing back into a nice routine.

I'm not a big "resolution" person - but this year I am planning to push myself toward better "time management". We'll see how that works.

Well, the votes are in and I agree! And a monthly giveaway of the "Patch Abilities" Pattern is what I will do. So each month - after I finish my mini quilt, I will post a giveaway for the pattern. This is a win win - because it will push me to make the pattern asap!

And after reading more on the Patch Abilities website - I learned that you can't buy the patterns for 2011 alone until 2012. The only way to get them is by joining the monthly 'club' for 2011. You can buy individual patterns for previous years - but not 2011.

Anyway - on to the giveaway. I'm also going to include a button pack with the pattern. I just need to go to the quilt store and pick one up. They were closed all weekend for New Years! Don't they know when a quilter needs supplies.. we want them NOW! lol

As always.. NO HOOPS!! Just leave a comment for a chance to win.

Maybe you could tell me what you did for New Years Eve?

I will leave the giveaway open until Tuesday morning - 6am CST. Pin It

Hope you had a peaceful New Year. As for me, I attended a couple of "Twitter Parties". That was a unique experience!

That's a cute snowman quilt, I love how yours turned out. What a great idea, incentive to make your monthly quilt. We didn't do much on New Years Eve, stayed home and watched a rented movie. We did stay up until midnight to see in the new year. I'm hoping, like you, for a good 2011.

Hi
We went shopping on New years Eve and then went out for Chinese food with our young daughters.
After they'd gone to bed (protesting that they wanted to stay up till midnight....) we settled down to watch movies. Alas, we went to bed before the witching hour....oh well, maybe next year we'll have THAT party !!

New Year's Eve I was finishing my scarf and adding the fringe, whilst watching TV with my youngest son. Very quiet and productive, lol

New Years Eve is my birthday so I was out partying the night away.
I didn't feel so good yesterday (sleep deprivation) so I didn't get to start a new project the way I had planned.
I'm looking forward to some serious stitching/sewing in 2011.

Happy New Year!
Sad wee thin that I am, with a sick hubby and tired kids, we were in bed by 10.00 pm. And I spent new years day getting the final finishing preparations into the January Cross Stitch Challenge...what better way to start the new year than with stitchyness!

I love these little patterns, though I don't own any. I would love to make a small quilt for each month this year.

My husband and I went out for dinner and then to the movie True Grit. We were home by 10:30 and I was sleeping before midnight.
I would love to win this pattern. I already have the frame to hang it, and it is time to take the Santa mini quilt off of it. The snowman could take his place.

Since I got up early on New Year's Eve...3am and started sewing, I fell asleep around 8:30 that evening. I heard fireworks at midnight..and back to sleep til 3am. Got up and started sewing again.! Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

Love your Blog - I am a new follower. I spent a quiet New Years Eve looking after our little pet joey Ollie who is still being bottle fed.
Your snowman is amazing - living in Western Australia it is in the high 30s (celcius) here so a white Christmas seems amazing.

Janet said...

DH and I went for dinner with friends who live in walking distance. We had prime rib roast, roasted yams and potatoes, salad and butter tarts for desert. We didn't eat until 9:30 so we were still awake enough at 11 p.m. to hang on for another hour. I'm glad we did as someone in town did fireworks at midnight. They were great (along with all the gunshots) and the stars were glorious.

Thanks for the chance to win this sweet snowman. His cute little smile is perfect for January weather!

We played dominoes with our friends on New Year's. We do it every year, and the losers have to plan Valentine's Day. This year, the guys lost so they get to plan. Hooray!!!!

A very cute snowman pattern and a great giveaway. We have a very large family party at Christmas so tend to downplay New Years. After the ball drops in Times Square, it's off to bed.

Teresa said...

I spent New Years Eve at home with my 10 year old son. We played Monopoly, Risk, Sorry and other board games. At 11:30 we turned on the tv and watched some of the local coverage, then turned it to the Times Square coverage just in time for Midnight. At Midnight I gave him a kiss and a hug, and he gave me the biggest hug ever. We exchanged "I Love You's" and went to bed.

Nice giveaway - pick me!

New Year's Eve is normally an early to bed night after a glass of non-alcoholic egg nog. New Year's Day is our day for a good luck meal of black-eyed peas with hog jowls and johnny cakes.... and watching the Rose Bowl Parade followed by college bowl games. Thank you for the lovely giveaway. Perhaps Mr. Random Number will select me. Happy New Year 2011.

New Years was very quiet, just hubby and me. I was starting to fade around 10:30 but I got my second wind and managed to see the ball drop with Dick Clark. Love the snowman quilt. Thanks for the chance to win!

What a cute snowman quilt. I've not seen this one. Guess I need to follow your links to the quilt shop. We had a FABULOUS new years eve dinner with two other couples from our neighborhood. We grilled oysters on the half-shell, red snapper and had lots of wonderful side dishes. Lots of laughter! A wonderful evening!

I would love to win this snowman! For New Years my parents and husband and I watched a movie while the kiddies were tucked in bed upstairs. It was just my speed and left me with enough energy for when they woke up early the next morning.

Spent the day with my husband running around, the evening with our best friends dinner and a movie, which actually turned into two movies (both for $5.00) at the local movie theater. Home then to watch the ball drop. New years day was shopping with my mother, and sewing. Back to work tomorrow after being home for 14 days....Not looking forward to that. Hope this year brings each of you Health, Happiness and love. Happy New Year
